When should I use my LEREDD?
Whenever! Your Device works around your schedule for general use. However, there are certain times throughout the day that work better for certain benefits. For instance, for some people, it is great to use in the morning to increase natural energy and boost circadian rhythm. Others like to wait after a long workday or workout to reduce soreness and muscle recovery. Consistent use will help achieve the best results
Targeting areas
Health Benefits from red light therapy comes from consistent and full body use. It is recommended to target symptomatic areas such as stiff joints, muscle aches, skin imperfections and anything that has flared up in the past
Protective Eyewear
When using just the Red 660nm setting, eye protection is not mandatory unless you are on photosensitizing medications, although we do not suggest staring directly at the LEDs when in use, as it may be uncomfortable especially if you are not used to bright lights. We suggest shutting your eyes before and gradually opening them during use of your device. If your eyes feel sensitive please use eye protective wear.
If your eyes are particularly susceptible to light or if you have photosensitivity and epileptic history, we suggest that you contact your treating medical health professional for clearance prior to using your Leredd system and also use eye protective wear to further mitigate any potential issue.
When using the Near Infra-Red (NIR) setting you should always wear properly rated eye protective safety glasses, whether it is in combination with Red or fully on it’s own. This is more cautionary until conclusive scientific studies come to surface as we prefer to err on the side of caution in this regard for the time being.
Nonetheless studies have been done which have shown positive results with Red and NIR lights . One such recent study published in November 2021( Link to research study – eye exposure to red light )highlighted positive results and enhanced mitochondrial function using Red light on the eyes for 3 minutes in the morning between 8-9am. In it they used 670nm Red light at 40mW/cm^2 for 3 minutes per treatment to produce positive results!
Even 830nm Near-Infrared has been used to slow vision loss in rodents.
And Red Light can even mitigate and ameliorate retinal damage from blue light!
Bright light exposure in the morning can help reset and maintain a healthy circadian rhythm too!
So the question must be asked if Red and Near Infrared light have been reported as beneficial to the eyes, then why aren’t we all exposing ourselves more to them?
Clothing
In a general sense, the more surface of your body that’s exposed to light the more effective the treatment will be. Clothing prevents red light from penetrating through your skin to the cells, NIR light, on the other hand, can go through bandages, clothes, and dresses but if you have an option to remove all clothing it is recommended for the best effectiveness.

I love all the benefits of my red light.
During the summer I use it on cloudy days for a boost. In the winter and fall I use it sometimes twice daily to start or finish my day.
My personal preference is to REDLIGHT bathe in the nude for full epidermal absorption. I tend to use it during my breath work or daily practice, the warmth creates the perfect environment for relaxation and recover. Other times I just lay there letting the rays hit my fair abd hairline. At 41 REDLIGHT keeps me looking healthy and youthful.
I have been a personal trainer for 23 years and I often bring my REDLIGHT to personal sessions with clients for added value. It’s not long until they purchase their own.
